Something fishy...

Modern mermaids listen up! Alexander McQueens S/S10 collection is delightfully fishy. Upgrade your scales with sequins and put fins in your hair. Land lovers can also marvel at the shoes, but to be honest I think I would have as much trouble wearing them as our aquatic, footless friends.

And this is by far my favourite, favourite look of the collection.

Look at the colours when the light hits it. Mmmmm. If I was a millionaire mermaid that would be my outfit in an instant. Apparantly the inspiration for this comes from the idea that humankind is made up of creatures that evolved from the sea, and we may be heading back to an underwater future as the ice cap dissolves. Oh well with outfits like this who would complain?

Go watch the show on showstudio.com.

Crisis averted...

Ok sorry for exposing your eyes to those ghastly garments before. All is not lost in Milan. Thank you Moschino Cheap & Chic, Lorenzo Riva and Krizia.

How sweet?

Seriously?

I was going to wait until all the fashion weeks were over before I posted the baddies, but Just Cavalli and D&G at Milan have shocked me faaaaar too much. Honestly brace yourselves because this is bad. Oh and  I could have posted every look in these collections. I'm not lying. But I won't do that to you.

Erdem get my vote...

Every fashion week I look at the pictures on style.com and save the ones I like best but not once have I saved as many pictures as I have of the Erdem collection. Ruffian at New York fashion week came a close second. Anymore contenders?

How gorgeous do those colours look peeping through lace?

Another coat, surprise surprise.

I would so get married in this. Its so close to my dream wedding dress its untrue!

Whatever happened to wishful thinking?

Note to designers, why am I seeing so many coats on the S/S10 catwalks? Do you know something we don't about next summer? I mean yeah last summer was a washout but lets hang on to a bit of hope for next time around eh? Just a few of the many I have spotted.

Roksanda Ilincic, Fashion Fringe, Tuleh, House of Holland

That said don't get me wrong if I'm going to have to spend the Summer in a coat these are perfectly lovely.
