Feeling Ruff(le)

I have developed a few obsessions lately, one being getting my hair ginger and the other is ruffles. I have ruffles and frills on the brain, but the problem is I want them BIG, I don;t care where I have them as long as they are big, bold ones. I want them to stand out otherwise whats the point. But on my limited budget this is so hard. But I think this ruff may come pretty close to satisfying my ruffy needs.

Scorchio - cool down the old fashioned way

Saltdean lido -1938

Blimey, heatwave or what?!? I feel sorry for those Londoners. Anyways what I would rather be doing right now is dunking myself into a cooling pool, preferebly an outdoor pool. Preferably the kind of outdoor pool that had its heyday in the 30s. If this weather keeps up I will be begging someone to take me to Ilkley Lido at the weekend. And if I had the pennies I would be doing it old school, like it should be! If you love a lido, tell us where! Keep us all cool please.
Your only problem now is which swimming cap to wear! (You don't want to be ruining any dye jobs with all that sun and chlorine now do ya?)
The classic floral?

The funky ruffle?

Or make like Keira Knightley in Atonement with a chin strap?

All available at saratoga.

With a cherry on top....

Mmmm I love cherries. I could eat them all day long. But did you know that in the last 50 years Britain has lost 90% of its cherry orchards and now has to import 95% of them!!! No wonder they're so bloody expensive!!! Support the great British cherry here, and while you're at it, support the economy too by doing some cherry themed shopping!

e.g.

As I have been off work ill today, I have been laying in bed discovering the wonder that is stumbleupon, anyways I "stumbled upon" this little lovely - e.g. Designer Emma Griffiths had previously worked for Alexander McQueen and Boudicca, but here she is with her own stuff that is easily as good and is already being worn by the likes of Beth Ditto and Ciara! All I can say is I want, I want, I want!!

Statuesque

I am loving this Norma Kamali dress, its called the sculpture dress and reminds me of the Henry Moore statue that was outside my high school.

BTW this isn't the sculpture that was outside my school, I couldn't find that one!

The death of a wardrobe...

Or perhaps more like the rebirth. My wardrobe reborn as a tidy clothes haven. Perhaps. Its what I am aiming for anyway. I blame Coco Eco mag for putting this idea into my head. But it has to be done, theres allsorts in there I never wear so I have started. Ebay and charity shops be ready, I have even done my shoes!

I haven't finished but when I do I will post my results, I am going to be brutal. No mercy for unworn clothes!!!

The keepers, the maybes and the definate no nos along with an ever so tidy yet sparse shoe rack.
